If you are an expectant mother or have already given birth, an unplanned pregnancy is difficult no matter what your situation. If parenting your child isn’t possible, we can help you.
Through A Gift Of Hope Adoptions, our Adoption Counselors will help you determine if adoption is the right choice for you. Plus, we may be able to provide financial assistance for housing, medical expenses, and other pregnancy needs.
Emotional Assistance
We understand how hard adoption is for a birth mother. It’s one of the biggest decisions you will ever make in your life. All you want is what’s best for your baby.
Whether you have the support of family and friends or not, our Adoption Counselors will walk through the decision-making process with you. Only you know if placing your child for adoption is the right step to take.
Your Future
We will talk about your current situation and your future hopes and dreams. Does it include parenting at this time? If so, we’ll support you and help find the resources you need.
If making an adoption plan for your child is best, our counselors will walk you through the entire process from picking the adoptive family to finalizing the adoption.
Our emotional assistance doesn’t end when the adoption is finalized. You need ongoing assurance and support, and we’ll be there to counsel and guide you.
Financial Assistance
Depending on your situation, there may be financial assistance too. Missouri law allows prospective birth mothers to receive financial assistance for adoption-related expenses during pregnancy.
By working with a reputable adoption agency, a birth mother is never asked to pay for adoption services. If she is struggling financially, money is available for her living expenses during the adoption process.
Living expenses may include:
- Rent and utilities
- Food
- Medical expenses related to the pregnancy
- Transportation to and from doctor’s appointments
- Maternity clothing
- And more
